ITINERARY
Day 1 - LISBON AT LEISURE. |
Welcome to Portugal! On arrival at Lisbon Airport, Insight's Airport Shuttle Service departs for your tour hotel at 09:30, 12:30 & 15:30. After settling in from your flight, join your Tour Director for an early evening welcome drink.

Days 2 & 3 - LISBON. |
After your first morning's breakfast, your included orientation tour takes you along the spacious avenues of the Lower Town and across the tree-shaded squares. Alight for a walking tour along Rua Augusta and through the triumphal arch to the vast Terreiro do Paco, the finest square in the city. This is a great spot to jump on a tram to other parts of the city to begin your two full days of free time and personal exploration in Lisbon. (BB)
Your evenings are free to enjoy as you wish - the cobbled streets, bars and restaurants of Lisbon's Bairro Alto come alive on Friday night while Saturday is perfect for experiencing the bustling atmosphere of the busy restaurant district. |
Day 4 - LISBON - SEVILLE. |
Cross the wide Alentejo plateau to the Spanish border. Continue through the green slopes of the Sierra Morena to Seville, the exquisite capital of Andalusia. Tonight, explore the city and its bustling,colourful centre. Hotel: Melia (BB) |
Days 5 & 6 - SEVILLE. |
Your included orientation tour of southern Spain's largest city, home to Carmen, Don Juan and Figaro, brings you the city centre and the massive façade of the Cathedral, final resting place of Christopher Columbus and from where all of the city's most famous sights are easily accessible – the Giralda Tower, Alcazar, Santa Cruz quarter and Plaza de Espana. By night you could immerse yourself in the culture with dinner and Flamenco in its most popular form. Day 7 - SEVILLE - CORDOBA - MADRID. |
Drive along the Guadalquivir valley to the perfectly preserved Moorish city of Cordoba. See the famous 2000-year-old bridge before some free time to explore; or take an optional guided tour of the city's most famous structure – the magnificent Mezquita, an 8th century mosque with a Christian church built inside it. Later, cross the Sierra Morena Mountains and the plains of La Mancha to Madrid.

Your included Madrid orientation tour provides you with the perfect introduction to the city! You'll pass the Plaza de Espana housing the monument to Cervantes, drive along the Gran Via and through the Puerto del Sol to the grandiose Cibeles Fountain. Armed with the knowledge from this overview, the Spanish capital is now yours to explore. (BB)
