ITINERARY
Day 1 - ARRIVE CAIRO |
Welcome to Egypt! A land rich in ancient monuments, tombs and temples.On arrival in Cairo, you are met and transferred to your tour hotel.

Day 2 - CAIRO SIGHTSEEING |
Meet your Tour Director for a detailed pre-tour briefing then drive out to one of the Wonders of the Ancient World! Your guided tour includes entry into one of the Pyramids and you see the guardian Sphinx! In nearby Memphis, visit the colossal statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. Continue to Sakkara, to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. As night falls return to Giza for a magical Sound and Light Show at the world famous Pyramids. (BB) |
Day 3 - CAIRO- LUXOR- JOIN CRUISE |
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor. There is no better introduction to Upper Egypt than a tour of Karnak Temple. Walk spellbound through the avenue of sphinxes into the vast Hypostyle Hall. At lunch time board your luxury cruise ship, one of the most stylish and spacious in Egypt. Overnight on-board in Dendara.

Day 4, 5 & 6 - ABOARD THE RIVER TOSCA |
As guests aboard the River Tosca you'll enjoy a visual feast as you voyage along the Nile in luxury. Stops are made along the way to visit various sites including the Temple of Hathor in Dendara, Luxor Temple, and the double temple at Kom Ombo.
There are two sightseeing excursions by coach; the West Bank at Luxor which includes a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, a visit to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and entry into three of the Pharaohs' tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
In Aswan your excursion includes a motorboat to the temple complex on the island of Philae, visits to the High Dam and unfinished obelisk in the granite quarries, plus a sail in a traditional felucca.While cruising breakfast, lunch and dinner (BB,L,D) are served daily and one night you get to celebrate Egyptian style at a Galabea Party and Dinner. Day 7 - DISEMBARK ASWAN |
Disembark and check in to your resort on Elephantine Island where you are at leisure. Explore, relax by the pool, or maybe take an optional flight to the amazing temples of Abu Simbel?

Day 8 - ASWAN- CAIRO |
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Cairo. The rest of the day is at leisure. Hotel: Marriott. (BB) |
Day 9 - CAIRO SIGHTSEEING |
First up is a highlight visit to the Egyptian Museum to gaze upon the treasures of Tutankhamun! Then from the heights of the Citadel enjoy views over the whole city. Mohammed Ali's great alabaster mosque is next. Finish off with a visit to the famous Khan El Khalili bazaars where you can put your bargaining skills to the test. (BB) |
