10DAYS 9NIGHTS MEMORABLE TRAIN JOURNEY

Day 1 Brunei Singapore SQ 181- 1220/1430 connecting
Singapore Christchurch SQ 297- 1940/1030* (Meals on board)
Assemble 2½ hours at Brunei airport for your flight to Christchurch. Upon arrival at Christchurch Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. (Self-drive passengers collect your rental car for your exclusive use until the end of the tour package.) Overnight at Camelot Cathedral Square Hotel

Day 2 Christchurch - Dunedin (365 km)
Travel south across the Canterbury Plains through Timaru and Oamaru to reach Dunedin early afternoon. The rest of the day is free for optional activities, such as wildlife cruises. (Self-drive passengers may wish to explore other parts of the city in the afternoon). Overnight at Scenic Circle Dunedin City Hotel.

Day 3 Dunedin - Taieri Gorge Train - Queenstown (299 kms)
Morning free for further optional activities.  In the afternoon you will be picked up for the spectacular Taieri Gorge Train to Pekerangi for the connecting coach ride to Alexandra, Cromwell before arriving at Queenstown. (Self-drive passengers are free to participate in more optional activities before driving to Queenstown). Overnight at Aspen on Queenstown.

Day 4 Queenstown
To day a cruise on the vintage ‘Old Lady’ the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak High Country Farm for an excursion at the Colonel’s Homestead. When you board the boat’s return journey, join in the sing- a-long session for a memorable 40 minutes trip. (The ‘TSS Earnslaw’ is away on its annual service in June and July and therefore is replaced with other activity or activities that will be advised). Overnight at Aspen on Queenstown.

Day 5 Queenstown - West Coast Glaciers (420 km)
Travel to the Kawarau Gorge past Lake Dunstan on toward Wanaka. On past Lake Hawea as you head
toward "the neck". A stop is made in Makarora before crossing the Southern Alps as you enter the Haast
Pass. We pause at Knights Point to view magnificent seascapes. From here pass Lakes Moeraki and Paringa then past Bruce Bay to arrive at the Glaciers. Overnight at Scenic Circle Glacier Country Hotel.

Day 6  WEST COAST GLACIERS - NELSON (480 km) (B)
Travel north to Westport before arriving at Punakaiki for a view of the amazing Pancake Rock formations. Then through the Buller River and Buller Gorge to arrive in Nelson in the late evening. Overnight at Rutherford Hotel.

Day 7  NELSON - PICTON - KAIKOURA (250 km)
We cross the Rai Saddle to Havelock to take the Scenic Queen Charlotte Drive along the Sound to arrive at Picton to connect with the Coastal Pacific Train to the Whale Watching Centre of New Zealand. (Self-drive passengers will drive to Kaikoura). Overnight at White Morph Motor Inn.

Day 8  KAIKOURA - CHRISTCHURCH (190 km)
Free until time to board your Coastal Pacific train back to Christchurch for the night.  (Self-drive passengers will drive back to Christchurch). Overnight at Camelot Cathedral Square Hotel

Day 9 Christchurch Singapore SQ 298 – 1150/1725 (Meals on Board)
Early this morning a tour on the ‘Hot Air Balloon’ is suggested if time permits. Transfer to the airport is included for your departure flight. (Self-drive passengers return your car directly at the airport). Upon arrival in Singapore Changi International airport, proceed to SIA counter for coach transfer to hotel of your choice. Overnight in Singapore at Allson Hotel or similar. (Please book your coach pick-up time for next day transfer)

Day 10 Singapore  Brunei SQ 182 – 0900/1115 (Meals on board)
Prearranged early morning transfer to Changi International; Airport for flight departure to Brunei
