It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and was declared a World Heritage Site,the cathedral became one of the most important places of pilgrimage in Europe.

Mt. Titlis is accessed via cable car at the alpine town of Engelberg. The cable car ride up to Mt. Titlis is itself a visual treat, offering great views of Engelberrg down below and Mt. Titlis as it approaches. The cable car, which seats 4 comfortably, will take you mid-way up the mountain. You will have to transfer to a much larger cable car (ROTAIR) which can take around 30 people. The special feature of this cable car is that it rotates as it moves up to the top of Mt. Titlis, offering passengers a 360 degree view. At the top, be sure to take the Ice Flyer (additional fee payable) and walk along the Cliff Walk (free). Surprisingly, the restaurant at the top of Mt. Titlis offers Indian buffet which is pretty authentic and not too pricey. View from the top of Mt Titlis is simply stunning. Words cannot begin to describe it. The place is great, all kinds of shops, something for everyone. Lots of lovely eating places too. And of course the HUGE shopping centre!Loads of lovely shops – high street names, designer, unusual gift shops and a huge hypermarket. Tons of restaurants and cafes.
