Over the weekend a large number of our Inbound tour guides could of been spotted in various tourist hotspots all over Brunei. In fact if you were very lucky you may of been able to see the very rare site of a British tour guide leading a group of locals around old cultural sites of the colonial era.

The group of guides set out to share their experience and expertises of guiding both here and abroad. Our guides then set about increasing their knowledge of Brunei’s culture, heritage and geography. On this three day course expertise were shared on anything ranging from Freme’s own Medicine Man in Temburong to the importance of design in the Chinese temple.

Brunei is very culturally diverse and the museums in brunei are great at demonstrating what makes this country great. Our guides took turns demonstrating their expert guiding skill and imparting their unique knowledge of Brunei’s traditions and history.

As well as the the Royal Regalia and Maritime Museums, several of our guides showed off their expertise by taking us on an informative, entertaining journey through the changes in malay technology.

As well as visiting museums the group of guides conducted a walking and coach tour. Taking in the traditional sites of Tamu Kianggeh and Gadong market to the culturally diverse colonial district and chinese temple, finally reaching the iconic landmark of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin mosque in the heart of Brunei’s capital.

In addition to touring around Bandar Seri Begawan, our guides also shared their knowledge on the Temburong Districts unique eco systems. Unlike any other rainforest in the world, the rainforest in Brunei is in pristine condition and full of so many rare and beautiful plants and animals

Brunei is such a diverse country and it is our responsibility as guides to educate and entertain visitors in order to preserve our country’s heritage. Here at Freme we take great pride in the knowledge we are able to share through our own personal experience.
